Life on Mars announcement almost wins bet for FMPU webmaster

Big news today from the internettaweb.  I'm speaking of course of the NASA announcement that there is (get ready for the duhhhhhhh moment) life on mars.

Bowie already got it right and Elton John had it wrong.

Right on the heels of a strange Chinese evangelical claim that they found Noah's Ark, NASA counters with a tiny crumb of what they have known for a long, long time.

The bet is simple - if NASA announces they found life, real life, like a small animal or humanoid, on Mars before 2015, I lose and must fly Suitcase Sally to Prague.  Big thinker.  If NASA makes the announcement by 2012, I win - and I chose to have SS clean every square inch of whatever type of dwelling we are residing at the time of the victory.

So tonight was only slightly disappointing when the announcement came and what they found is merely moss.

BFD.  Screw them and their moss - they don't know how much dust is collecting in rarely used corners of this place.  I'm going to make her dress in her favorite Asian garb and when I point to a dusty region, she will be on it unless NASA continues to sit on their information and costs me dearly.

Don't Talk to Aliens
from the Times Online - Jonathan Leake
This is a Stephen Hawking update.  In the text he warns human-kind that ETs may not be kind.   Duhh, we've all seen V (original or new or both) and this is obvious, once again, Stephen, science states the obvious!

UFO "News" from the Anamolyman

Another piece from Michael Cohen, who writes articles that get regularly bushwhacked for good reason.

Always check OBJECT REPORT for other paranormal/UFO major news breaks.

As a reminder - we here at FMPU don't want you to walk away or click away from this website thinking we are trying to persuade you of much.  Even if the language "goes there" at times - we do realize most of the garbage floats to the top of the news stacks all too often.  Enjoy your weekend, enjoy your work, enjoy the little sex you get (especially if you're reading UFO blogs!  JK - we love you).  Nobody knows until the truth is revealed.

Information about Gary McKinnon's UFO findings

FMPU has followed the Gary McKinnon case since it first broke.

The Scottish pothead computer hacker claims to have viewed government information that was classified. Several rumors abound as in the linked blog post claims to have all the "inside scoop" -- which is, in fact, inside poop.

The most revealing part of the article is that Gary used a dial-up modem to perform the hacks into the NASA’s Johnson’s space center website, where he collected/viewed sensitive data - but he was unable to perform saves on the most critical information (pictures of cigar shaped UFOs).  Drats.

The rest seems like speculation, though over there at the Open Minds article it reads a bit differently.  As if you have time right?

If you do go to the article, make sure to check out the comments.  This one, by Santi, says a lot:

Santi says:
Articles like this are garbage. This is the reason UFO enthusiasts are looked as kooks. Nowherehas Gary Mckinnon said any of the above. The author clearly says that there are rumor of his having said this and that the rumors are unsubstantiated. Here are Gary Mckinnon’s own words:
“SK: What did you find inside Nasa?
GM: One of these people was a Nasa photographic expert, and she said that in building eight of Johnson Space Centre they regularly airbrushed out images of UFOs from the high-resolution satellite imaging. What she said was there was there: there were folders called “filtered” and “unfiltered”, “processed” and “raw”, something like that.
I got one picture out of the folder, and bearing in mind this is a 56k dial-up, so a very slow internet connection, in dial-up days, using the remote control programme I turned the colour down to 4bit colour and the screen resolution really, really low, and even then the picture was still juddering as it came onto the screen.
But what came on to the screen was amazing. It was a culmination of all my efforts. It was a picture of something that definitely wasn’t man-made.
It was above the Earth’s hemisphere. It kind of looked like a satellite. It was cigar-shaped and had geodesic domes above, below, to the left, the right and both ends of it, and although it was a low-resolution picture it was very close up.
This thing was hanging in space, the earth’s hemisphere visible below it, and no rivets, no seams, none of the stuff associated with normal man-made manufacturing.
SK: Is it possible this is an artist’s impression?
GM: I don’t know… For me, it was more than a coincidence. This woman has said: “This is what happens, in this building, in this space centre”. I went into that building, that space centre, and saw exactly that.
SK: Do you have a copy of this? It came down to your machine.
GM: No, the graphical remote viewer works frame by frame. It’s a Java application, so there’s nothing to save on your hard drive, or at least if it is, only one frame at a time.
SK: So did you get the one frame?
GM: No.
SK: What happened?
GM: Once I was cut off, my picture just disappeared.
SK: You were actually cut off the time you were downloading the picture?
GM: Yes, I saw the guy’s hand move across.”
I can now add Alejandro Rojas to the long list of people who do great damage to the belief in UFO’s.

Roger Marsh Keeps UFO Heads Alert

Roger Marsh is UFO workaholic.  One needs to be just this to hang in with this much dedication.
Check out his Examiner UFO page and go visit local (or not so local) articles. He's a great guy, and accessible - he's done a lot for me and my writing.  I highly recommend his writings - there is something for everyone who is into the paranormal and or UFO related topics.
