What does history mean to you? How would you like history to be represented when your children get to learn about it? I'll go out on a limb and suggest that a lot of kids will want to learn about what happened in Colorado on that dreaded evening of madness. I was awake, albeit a little or a lot high on cannabis, and remember the feeling that this story and how it was being reported was unfolding different than a lot of other stories I've followed with interest that maybe weren't the same, but equally unusual. I decided I'd seek as much information as I could possibly dig up that early morning, and going forward just on my free time. Basically, for me, when it comes to news stories it seems I am never really close enough to the story to actually break a particular angle I think nobody knows or cares about.
