When it comes to strangeness, Argentina is no stranger to UFO activity. It's raining here in L.A... enjoy and read up.

2009 MPU Update!
Hey Magic Poppers and UFO fanatics, I must say - my three blog posts in 2008 were special. It was actually time away from UFO blogging that was much needed for personal perspective, reflective and common sense reasons that led to a year away from writing about my favorite topic(s) beyond any other - Magic Pop and UFOs. I love music, I love space stories, science-fiction or just plain scientific in nature.
So, I have a feeling that after this time off, I have come to a personal revelation that I must continue forth exploring. This will be the year all of my work is going to pay for itself, as I feel I have earned a degree of some sort from a gimmick-research program or written a futurism studies thesis in Pig Latin.
I can't say I'm any more the richer in my tastes in music, but I will certainly add more videos this year of music I am listening to at the moment.
Recently, I was hired as an editor for a new website that is going to be a force and by the time the smoke clears, this site will have somehow, out of all my blogs, come away the most important, and most read. This topic of UFO research deserves even more respect than it demands, and MPU will attempt to provide a similar standard.
In time I will discuss this website in greater detail, as it directly will make an impact on this site and many others, in a positive way.
So subscribe to the site and come back. This year has already been exciting with the Obama news I discussed in the last post and 2012 - Such a massive story an we aren't all that far off, what, like 3.3 years or so now? Bust out that suntan lotion, get a convertible 4-cylinder, lots of carne asada, hop on Evite and invite your pals out to the nearest beach or scenic destination and party it up. There are UFO sighting all over the world. First we are told there were signs of life on Mars, then we were told it was too hostile an environment, then this week we are told the methane was a positive sign of life on the "red" planet.
Who do YOU believe? Well, that in an of itself would have been enough - but THEN MPU found the OUTTHERE dudes at Disinformation! Joe and Raymond and Austin Gandy are back in full-force doing their thing, which does include episodes of The Invisible College. For those of you who missed out on any of the 50 OutThere podcasts, go and check em out, they are packed with great fodder. More than that even, the Disinformation site is a fantastic new home, like in my own life, I welcome this change, I knew they weren't going away for long. I can't say the same for douchebag John Ziegler.
So yes people, thanks for stopping by and if you want a real treat, I urge you to return as this year plans to be a fun, exciting one.

Obama PRO Moon Launch
Yes, let us beat China and regain the world's trust by actually doing something and getting to the goddamned moon. The world deserves it, I deserve it, and even the people at NASA deserve it. Sure I have been hard on NASA, but Obama's plan to make one NASA and the Pentagon has been ringing in my ear, I had to understand what sort of impact this could potentially have.
It requires a level of faith, perhaps, that we as a nation can change enough to invoke this sort of change - the kind that can blow away the Chinese plans, land on the moon's poles and figure out where the loot is before being made fools of again by anyone else in the world.
It is exciting. It is time.

Manitoba got another Dazzling treat last week with that massive fireball.
Here in L.A. we get the same ol' crap - nada.
I hope one day - after the rain disappears, UFOs will make themselves available to me for viewing.

Here's some GREAT new pictures of Mars. Click here to see (and read a little also).
After reading that article, I decided to write an open comment to any NASA scientists who might find this blog post.
Open Comment To NASA or Science Geeks:
Hello, I am someone you don't know. But I am a space geek, I am excited about the potential for humans on Mars.
But I don't want to wait 10 years for NASA to return a rock. That rock would literally and figuratively act as a stepping stone to waiting another 10 years for an astronaut to finally step on Mars. Please don't tell me the Chinese, or the Japanese or - GASP - the Russians are going to just sit there and watch THAT happen. What do the people think? It might not be too large a stretch to suggest people's interest in space is peaking yet again. Pseudoscience and economically tough times have harmonious connectivity. This is a suggestion on how to raise the morale of a civilization.
Enough of this slow sell NASA. Stop naming holes you dig lame Disney characters. Get the science right so we can get humans to Mars. Give us information we don't know, that we'd find interesting without having a PHD. I mean that in the sense that the people will play to the level of what they are given, I promise.
And NASA, if you are reading, I think a growing number of people are growing up in their poor scientific ways. You will see this trend, or even renaissance especially when political turbulence subsides. Stop coddling people and stop underestimating the people's imagination. The possibilities are endless. Screw your Phoenix junkyard mess lander. You guys treated this one like Chewbacca fixing the Millennium Falcon's hyper-drive. I believe Sanford and Son would have built a better "lander".
I'm not trusted media, I am just a citizen who likes blogging. I realize I'm not backing up my emotions with enough hows n whys, I'm just wondering when you are going to step up to show you are deserving of your title as elite scientists. No question you are. In fact it is my honest emotion to want to trust and believe you (in conjunction with the government of the U.S.) hold information that would only boost the human condition. In a world when open source software has built community, I propose the same would happen if more advanced scientific findings by organizations like NASA challenged the people's imaginations by providing more resources and more detailed information on findings space missions. Another great source of information would be findings from the Space Station, but that is a stand-alone issue for another day. Kids suck really bad at science because not enough interesting things are being presented by the science world to the kids in classrooms. Hey, there's another idea, I'm full of them tonight.
Thanks for reading,

P.S. - What ever happened to a moon return?

This is some crazy news...

So just what is the logical ... there is nothing to explain. There is no logic. I'm not a doomsday wisher... I want answers and I want to be "in" on what is happening.
STEPHENVILLE, Texas - In this farming community where nightfall usually brings clear, starry skies, residents are abuzz over reported sightings of what many believe is a UFO.
Several dozen people — including a pilot, county constable and business owners — insist they have seen a large silent object with bright lights flying low and fast. Some reported seeing fighter jets chasing it.
"People wonder what in the world it is because this is the Bible Belt, and everyone is afraid it's the end of times," said Steve Allen, a freight company owner and pilot who said the object he saw last week was a mile long and half a mile wide. "It was positively, absolutely nothing from these parts."
While federal officials insist there's a logical explanation, locals swear that it was larger, quieter, faster and lower to the ground than an airplane. They also said the object's lights changed configuration, unlike those of a plane. People in several towns who reported seeing it over several weeks have offered similar descriptions of the object.

American Student Tasered For Asking John Kerry Important Questions
He didn't have OJ in his posse, he just wanted to know why John Kerry forfeited his right to be president. Listen carefully for the book/author he quotes, the message has, to my knowledge, been so repressed that even the suggestion of it's claim would make you sound crazy too.
Roll em!

Pretty impressive, apparently when you have the world's most insanely large media mogul - Murdock - not on your side (Other Opinions Here), it is a difficult trick to get anything done in this country if it is of any political importance, just ask Larry Craig.
One of the fantastic benefits of being a blogger is my heightened awareness in the world of politics. When it comes to presidential elections, 2000 was a tough pill to swallow, but marching on, I still felt cheated with the Kerry/Bush options. I have to admit, up until August 25th, the day Aaron Russo died of bladder cancer, I was still unsatisfied with the political candidates. I had no particular interest in Ron Paul, only some memories of some die-hards once asking me questions about whether I knew of him, but I did not. After some more reading (and videos), I was pretty shocked at how much steam the Ron Paul team has built up in such a short time.
Then something strange happened just yesterday. GOP Straws, the website where straw votes are tallied, has removed Paul from the voting option. Below is the explanation served up by the webmaster:
Ron Paul has some good videos to view, and an interesting perspective to share, but I recommend watching the Aaron Russo interview with Alex Jones to get more perspective. Paul is not going to echo Russo, or try to carry his torch, but their philosophies meshed with one another.
Here is an interview by Aaron Russo given to Ron Paul. I can't really see any other candidate holding a candle to him, but will any of this translate offline? Paul's view on the banking system is unlike anything we as Americans have come to learn, primarily due to his humanistic approach in discussing the details. Sometimes when financial matters are discussed in way we all understand, the red flags shoot up, but not this time. This perspective comes with great support, organization and intent. It should be interesting to watch Hilary or the others battle the perspectives held by Paul on the Federal Reserve System.
From Wiki:
A straw poll is an informal type of voting where the results of the poll have little or no direct results, other than to gauge opinion. Straw polls are commonly used in American political caucuses, where the primary goals are to select delegates and vote on resolutions. The results of the straw polls may influence the delegates as they participate in political conventions after the caucus.
This idiom alludes to a straw used to show in what direction the wind blows, in this case the wind of public opinion.
Well-known straw polls include the Ames Straw Poll and the Texas Straw Poll. The Ames, Iowa Republican Straw Poll is generally regarded as the most meaningful straw poll during the presidential campaign because of the large voter turnout, minor media recognition, and Iowa's tradition of being the first state to vote before the primaries.
Ok, so you already knew all that. Well here is the tally of Maryland's straw poll, from yesterday:

UPDATE: Some of you may be wondering about the absence of Ron Paul from this months straw poll. Let me explain. After my decision to include Ron Paul in the previous poll, I monitored (to the best of my ability) the efforts by Paul's online supporters. With the help of other bloggers, we discovered a sophisticated coordinated effort to spam the poll, obfuscate their actions, and even cheat the poll.
Shortly after the launch of the previous poll, I received an email from Jesse Benton, the communications director for Ron Paul's campaign. He was interested in getting information about what safeguards are used in the straw poll in order to protect it from spammers/cheaters. I made it clear that I was not about to share the details of what protections are place. His response was a bit less than amicable.
I found it very curious that someone from Ron Paul's campaign would have such an active interest in the GOP Straw Poll and specifically request such guarded details about it. This high suspect request, combined with the efforts of Paul's online supporters to spam/cheat the poll. Ron Paul has been removed from this months poll in order to provide usable data on the acceptability/unacceptability of the candidates in the race. As you may have noticed in the previous poll, people who voted for Ron Paul as their number one choice also only put Ron Paul as the only acceptable candidate -- a voting behavior not mimicked by supporters of other candidates. This made the data severely flawed and useless as a barometer -- even for an unscientific one.
Ron Paul has some good videos to view, and an interesting perspective to share, but I recommend watching the Aaron Russo interview with Alex Jones to get more perspective. Paul is not going to echo Russo, or try to carry his torch, but their philosophies meshed with one another.

Hey Loose Change Fans - NEWS!
911 NORAD tapes have been released.
You may not buy everything Dylan Avery and co. want you to buy (oh, nevermind - they don't ask you for a damn dime!) by watching their internet hit documentary about 911, Loose Change, but it's certainly compelling and the film is a HUGE internet success story and it is thought provoking enough to spark tons of controversy.
I'll never forget the time they were kicked out of the studio during a radio interview on KFI 640am (in Los Angeles) during The John Zeigler Show I think last year. Zig kicked their asses out for the most inane thing (I think because they came together into the studio or something equally pathetic) and I haven't listened to his show since. If you don't know them it's probably because they have been thrown off several other major talk shows including Bill O'Reilly before anything they say can be fairly assessed. They have kept their information incredibly respectful.
Anyway - I realize it's tedius. I realize you have important things to do. I realize you want beer. I realize I've never said a word about 911 so you're not sure why I'm posting this.
This stuff's incredible. If you have some free time (make some) go to this link:
Scrap Book
Explosive indeed. Go have a peek.
Also, for the true conspiracy theorist in all of us, there is a developing thread here: Above Top Secret
Finally, here's a link to the 2nd Edition of Loose Change.
