Movie Review - Arrival
This movie has received a pretty good buzz since release on the big screen and it had been at least a year since the last time I went to the inconvenience of going to a movie theater to enjoy a movie. We went to the
Regal Theater (get your Regal Gift Card!) in Granada Hills and overall it was a generally good experience.
Arrival lived up to hype, in my opinion. It was smart, Jeremy Renner was only a little annoying, and Forest Whitaker was admirable in his role. Amy Adams also was surprisingly good in her role as an affected human with the right skills to help the world address the situation at hand. There was plenty of wonderful philosophical points made, and excellent characterizations that make this film palpable.
If the closest comparison is Contact (Jodi Foster), I'd say it was less dogmatic and tried less - effectively doing more and it was appreciated.
Apparently, the aliens feel writing is a abhorrent waste of energy so I'll stop wasting your time with too much blather. Take it from a real sci-fi old-skooler, this was worth making the time for even though I'm sure it'll look just as good on my smart TV.

Blink-182 and UFOs
One band I always liked is Blink-182. In fact, I shared a massage therapist with Travis at one point some time ago in the San Fernando Valley. She and I hung out every once in a while outside of the massage room, and she was interested in the UFO stories I would talk with her about. She was one of the few women I've ever met who could hold her own in a UFO conversation! So when I found out that Tom DeLonge left Blink to research UFOs of course COS had a reader.... and I'm definitely eagerly awaiting California, their new album due out soon.
Tom, if you ever stop by Magic Pop UFOs - make sure to leave a comment and let me know if you're down for an interview. That's what this blog/website (PropertyofMars.com) originally was designed to pursue. Musicology and UFOlogy are like brothers. It just dawned on me one day that very few, or none, of the people I was around, and the people involved in a career I enjoyed, were just not about UFOlogy, cosmology, etc. due to all of the kookiness associated with the stories being told. I remain strong, but severely beaten down. Is UFOlogy a sucker's game? Call me a sucker.

From the article:
When Blink-182’s upcoming album California drops next week, a certain pierced-lipped, sideways-cap-wearing guitarist won’t be featured in the liner notes. Longtime Blink member Tom DeLonge was replaced by Matt Skiba after quitting the band last year, and a new interview with Mic suggests that his exit wasn’t merely spurred by artistic differences. Instead, DeLonge claims that he needed a break to pursue his one true passion: exposing the truth about UFOs.

EgyptAir Pilots Saw UFO says Turkish Media
Aftermath of the EgyptAir disaster mysterioso has been pretty uneventful. Years ago, like when this blog was a baby, I'd have been all over the conspiracy angles trying to see who was saying what until 3am, losing sleep, eating salty chips, smoking. These days I've calmed down and I'm down for the count around 10 or 11pm to get up for my real-life job.
So many stories have come and gone in the last year that I would have attached myself to and now I have been telling myself "I know better." Of course I do. Right?
Unidentified pilots (2) of a plane (plane unidentified in the article) reported a UFO was spotted about 3 hours before the unexplained disappearance of EgyptAir MS804. This was reported in Turkish media.
Bullshit, right?

5 Minutes Til Midnight
Jan 01, 2016 - The Contact Clock has been forwarded five minutes closer to Midnight. The EIRM indicates a high probability that there will be major revelations in late 2016. This activity will be on a scale that will exceed what TOR has often described as the mass-social-quantum-threshold, a change in the public awareness of such a degree that there are more humans who are aware of ET/UFO activity than there are those who are unaware. Exactly what will happen and how this threshold will be exceeded is an unknown, but it has been suggested that "everything changes" and Earth society will begin to deviate strongly from the current military-industrial-complex mode. Caution with expectations: this migration from a military-industrial-complex society to an open-educated-ET-aware society will likely take some decades to fully resolve - however we believe there will be a rather well-defined moment of days or weeks in which all people will have access to concrete information which offers a "knowing" and also access to disturbing and revealing levels of SSP and Secret Gov disclosure - thus 2016 and beyond will likely be a complex situation involving rapid transition and parallel long-term transition.
