It's eye-catching when an article is printed in any of the big papers on the topic of UFOs.  In the many years of newspaper reading, only a handful of articles could be found and these usually arrive after a major event that becomes popularized, such as The Phoenix Lights and Roswell.   Much fewer of the in-betweeners,  as I call them, that explore the culture in any depth below the faint tint of laughter. The article is about Judy Messoline and her UFO Watchtower in Hooper, CO.  Was on a roadtrip just two short years ago and completely had no idea about this place or we would have fallen another day behind to make a stop here.  Anyway, the article has some unknown purpose -- if it's to save Judy by sending her, possibly, some new UFOnuts looking for a new place to throw a party, then yes, I have a generally positive feeling this article does not hurt.  Makes me want to hit the road, again, in fact I might do this at some point in 2011.  For ot...

First off - how dare you.  UFO news and links to music videos is all you need, right?  No, you need to find out about things happening out there in the "real" world.  I feel ya.  So, I decided to go around the horn and find three stories of interest.  These stories are also wildly under-covered, sorry Bristol Palin fans.  1.  WIFI Makes Trees Sick - WIFI helps keep us connected, but it has a dark side, and I'm going to take this story a step further and predict that science will find that WIFI is also responsible for my practically impossible to cure allergies.  2.  Sasha Shulgin has suffered a stroke and is in the hospital.  One of the pioneers of psychoactive drugs, Sasha is struggling through yet another challenge in his illustrious life.  His detailed reports on several different types of drugs is a valuable contribution to human-kind. 3.  Will Oregon Senator Ron Wyden go down as a superhero by saving the internet?...

For the longest time, FMPU has ignored the video that now streams on a zillion different conspiracy blogs. It just seemed like it would be a boring montage of some scenes I'd laugh at, but the other day I was going through the X-files DVDs and came across the episode from March, 2001.  And I was shocked, so I found the video and watched it and, hey, waddya know, it's crazy interesting!  So I thought you might like to see it if you already have not.  The Simpsons "prediction" is coincidence, but the other clips are wild, and they are scenarios which would have dulled me to the events of 911 were it not for Suitcase Sally's grandmother's death during the same time frame of the plane crashes.  It was a fucked up day - and watching this video was a reminder that things seemed ... they just smelled fishy.  This is not proof, but more of a tragic reminder of the weirdness of that day.

FMPU's trusted UFO news source, Roger Marsh, reported on a California UFO shaped like a triangle.  The report came from the MUFON database: "A California witness reports watching a triangle-shaped UFO the "size of a football field" move silently overhead at 1:45 a.m. on November 14, 2010, with 12 red-amber lights outlining itself, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database." Latest UFO sightings - Daytime UFO was recorded in the sky over North Hollywood in California on Monday, 15th November 2010 at 11 am.    However, I got a little fussy because the blogger titled the article as a sighting in Hollywood, when the sighting was in North Hollywood.  They are not the same, so I hope the author makes that fix.

In dedication to the "missile" shooting out from the coastline of LA, or so the tale goes, here's a sweet track from 1990 that I think is about con trails.  Don't quote me on that,  that's just my impression.  Swedish Eagle used to play The Orb a lot on Mars FM here in LA for those who remember.  There's just no way that station should have gone out the way it did, any way, I've also added a bonus track below and that you must listen to because it's probably the most memorable electronic song from the 90s for me and it's good.  Perpetual Dawn Live!

Is it me or is everyone just going UFO/Alien bonkers lately?  Well, I can't begin to tell you about all the fun things that have been showing up in the mail.  Lots of Rickey Henderson cards sent as gifts (thank you!!!!!) and even better, books!  Lots of them.  Today I received an old book I've been itching to read for a while now -- an original printing of Mars The Red Planet, by Mick Farren, sent by the Zog.  Thanks dude!  That'll keep me busy. You're going to hate me for posting today's video.  It's 106 minutes long, and it's good, useful, hard information that I am sharing from a person who added me on that Facebook site.  One of the best part parts of the video applies here.  The internet is a decentralization tool for information.  It's what you build up around you that matters most.  In this sense, I try to contribute as much of my own thoughts, and borrow the rest.  Anyways, you got yourself a lot of minutes to spend on this video, and you shouldn't thank me directly.  Wow, it's 2:30am and time to hit the sack.

Sadly, a member of Sub Pop's family was killed in a car crash in late October.  His daughter was saved by a concerned bystander, but Andy was not saved.  He was indeed loved by everyone he came in contact with.  In dedication to the team's ability to fight on through this tough time, FMPU offers condolences, and a Pissed Jeans video.  It's a terrible loss. Scratch WikiLeaks off the "must read" list for their protection of the official 9/11 story. Sorry, but I never give two shits about that garbage his site releases anyway. The information from WikiLeaks is not a big surprise to anyone with enough courage to step away from the box and think for a moment because it was all bullshit.  Also, if you think about it, he released about a quarter of a million pages of before unseen notes about death, death, and more death - just what we wanted right?  Ugh.  And now that I know that Julian is claiming 9/11 was not a conspiracy , I can tell you without a doubt that he's as scummy, deceptive, and insignificant as the rest of the media. Once again, go with your instincts, if you have any left, and make up your own mind about what really went down. Julian Assange can blow me, then go to hell.
