Antikythera Mechanism Older Than My Mother
Previous estimates presumed this proud piece of scientific engineering to be at least 50 years older than this revised estimate.
The mechanism was used as an astrological tool to help the scientists of the day calculate and estimate astronomical events and the Olympic Games schedule, according to THIS article.
I had not heard of this piece of old-school (re-found by searchers in 1901) technology prior to this article but its sure nice to know there's always more to learn about.

FMPU Kills UFOLOGY
Confusing times if you are finding yourself less interested in the topic of UFOs and related psychOdelic related antics. These days I spend a lot of time outside the Los Angeles area. This has, traditionally, been a pretty good place to escape that hellish pit of fire. The show I've linked took me right back to that pit of fire and it turned out to be quite entertaining. If you're in the mood to listen to some high weirdness in the form of a one-way argument, then this is the show for you because you're about to learn some names you never knew, connections you made and an unrelenting push on philosophy. Irvin made it sound like all the people who helped Mckenna to make such a wonderful return to the public eye (thanks to the internet...) haven't the capacity to question the notion that maybe, perhaps, possibly, that Mckenna had views inconsistent with his overall message, and that psychedelics perhaps were his pet project for spreading an agent of control across all humanity. Wondrous, but a workout nonetheless.

California witness reports triangle-shaped UFO buzzed car
Two California witnesses southbound along Highway 5 in Coalinga reported watching a slow moving, triangle-shaped UFO “with three huge, white lights on the underside” that descended to just 20 feet over their vehicle, according to June 2, 2014, testimony in Case 56732 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

Agoura Hills UFO Sighting!
I was looking east towards the San Fernando Valley, from my back yard in Agoura Hills, Ca. The time was Approx. 9:15 pm (January 8, 2014). I was observing ORION on a great clear night. A very large light suddenly appeared, directly in my view at a pretty low altitude. It was as if someone flipped a switch to turn it on. I would estimate that the object was in the San Fernando Valley between Calabasas and Woodland Hills. (Again,Just an Estimate) The bright light changed color from blue-green to some amber-orange. The light was stationary for a brief time and then, at an amazing speed, darted from the east directly towards my position west. The bright, large craft was at a low altitude. (On a daily basis, there is a continuous flight pattern of planes, flying past/over my location, descending eastward and southeastward to land at LAX, John Wayne, and/or other airports.) This craft was much lower, I would estimate less than 3000 feet or less. The craft flew towards my position and ended up, to the left of my field of vision. The UFO's flight path, covered my complete field of view (as I turned my head as it passed) flying from it's position eastward, past me to the opposite horizon in the west/north west, until it was out of sight) This happened in less than 2 seconds. An amazing speed, and stayed at a constant altitude and direction. Again, an Incredible speed, no noise and the object looked large (larger than the light field produced my incoming planes at night, at higher altitudes !! This was not a comet or meteorite, as I observe meteor showers often. I hope that others witnessed this incredible UFO. I'll be watching the skies more often.

Asteroid impacts 3-10x more common than we thought.
So I suppose we're lucky...B612 Foundation CEO Ed Lu states:
This network has detected 26 multi-kiloton explosions since 2001, all of which are due to asteroid impacts. It shows that asteroid impacts are NOT rare—but actually 3-10 times more common than we previously thought. The fact that none of these asteroid impacts shown in the video was detected in advance is proof that the only thing preventing a catastrophe from a 'city-killer' sized asteroid is blind luck. The goal of the B612 Sentinel mission is to find and track asteroids decades before they hit Earth, allowing us to easily deflect them.

Told Ya! Here comes the UFO Alien False-Flag That's Not Even a False Flag
Many a source has warned people to beware of false-flag attempts using disclosure or a UFO attack as it's smoke-screen. Sponsored by the government, of course. Just the other day I heard someone mention in casual conversation that this scenario could be a possibility! I tell you it's strange to hear people talk about these topics in the morning hours, at work, but I am always intrigued.
The title is strange indeed, at least on the Forbes article:

If that sounds like a bunch of horse crap, that's because it is, especially since the origins of the article can be traced back to Sorcha Fall (according to those Paradigm folks). Sure was interesting to see this stupid article darting across the web all day today. This includes some sites that caught my eye, like the HuffPo, Newsy, and Rawstory (none of the really biggy biggies... but still!).
The double-whammy of course is the Hellyer and Snowden effect. As the story goes, Snowden revealed this information to the Russians who had the information authenticated by Hellyer the Canadian's UFO go-to man. Hellyer verified information that states the US government is being controlled by space aliens who have been here like, a really, really long time.

Was a NYE UFO Sighting Predicted by FMPU?
Tonight ABC in Los Angeles aired an odd UFO report tonight regarding a fairly big sighting on New Years Eve, just a couple days ago. This report was the first I had heard of the "encounter" but it featured one "witness" who appeared sincere of his first-hand recounting. Sightings were reported from Los Angeles to Northern California. At least once in the last week I had the inner-thought that we have been without any significant UFO sightings reported in the media in quite a stretch. Maybe in some way I did a sort of mystical rain dance that brought this story to us, who knows.
