Call it an illness, but I am just totally obsessed with the world of Ufology. It is the one thing that has, over time, been officially denied and mocked despite the loads of information and flow of daily news on the matter.
As the UFO/Paranormal senior editor at a website, Daily Site, I have had the delightful opportunity to rediscover a topic I never lost sight of. Over the years it is the one topic I had a lot of trouble discussing anywhere. Thank you, internet.
Times are different now, much different than they were when I was a young kid in regards to the means to get information that can almost sway you all the way into believing some of those stories. The one thing I try never to do, though, is jump to such conclusions without having the 1st hand proof. So I went to Roswell, New Mexico in December of 2006 with a true skeptic, a woman. When even she agreed that some of those newspaper clippings were "amazing", I had a renewed interest in the topic. For some reason, seeing someone become that interested in the phenomenon gave me more vigor to investigate more thoroughly. Now I have the opportunity (how old am I now?) to dig in even deeper and share quality information on a wider scale and it feels great.
Of course our main mission at Daily Site is to make the site (along with the site management's incredible technologies) thrive, but you couldn't tell by the amount of time and research that I put into finding the stories I find and link. It shows even more when my emails are returned by those people equally fascinated by such unexplained happenings. Again, this positive feedback has indeed thrusted my vigor that much more.
The problem was deciding where to dig-in. Where do I go? I did what I do best with information I enjoy ingesting - I just let go. Intuition has taken me to places I was previously too timid to venture. There is a long way to go, but this is a daily process that requires daily attention. What I found was, the moment I turned my head, there was a story of high interest that passed by unnoticed. And the best part about Ufology is that nobody will blame you for not "believing" as this is just analysis of information that is provided by more than willing reporters. In most cases, these reporters have not much to gain by their hard efforts. Granted this is a mega-industry, it is still a very underrated one at that and only those true to the game are the ones who stand to even earn a penny off their long hours of research and investigation.
Uh-oh, this is turning into one of those long-winded point-less posts we can't stand so I can end it here happily on a good note. I'm making a dent, and I'm asking for autographs along the way. This is the journey where I feel I belong...
If you found my work at Daily Site, great - thank you for checking it out. Your feedback is crucial so if you ever have a question, request or related link(s) send me an email: joe (at) dailysite.com
