August 27, 2010 - UFO reports have been taking a dramatic turn lately with more witnesses describing events related to a sort of conflict between military forces and large black triangular craft. Such craft were seen in Canada earlier this week allegedly being fired upon by helicopters and another was spotted near Fresno California crashed into the side of a mountain with military vehicles quickly surrounding it. What uncertainty does this bear for the future?

Magic Pop: Radiohead
I was trying to capture what I was feeling tonight in a post somewhere. I happen to be having a wild week. Incredibly fast. And then I came across this video I hadn't seen. Great song, and the video is made by some tech nerds who created quite a fantasy playground landscape. It occurred to me, since I had been thinking a bit on things tonight - we need more than just a wish and desire to get it done. Wanting it just isn't enough. Thinking and wishing on things won't help. And by the time you're done getting over all your shit you realize just how tired you you are now and you'd rather just sleep. That was the mood of this song, and it was a good one to hear tonight. Then I started realizing all the douchebags that love Radiohead and I was confident they really don't love Radiohead, they love the tech nerds who make the videos because they are the cool ones after all.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, FPC Duluth, Duluth, MN, intends to make a single award to a responsible entity for providing the services of Native American Medicine man to the inmate population as outlined in the statement of work. The anticipated date of the award will be approximately October 1, 2010 subjected to funds availability for the next fiscal year. The duration of the contract will be from the date of award through 09/30/2011. The contractor shall perform all services at FPC Duluth, in the Religious Services Department, located at 6902 Airport Road, Duluth MN, 55814.
The contractor will conduct Native American ceremonies and provide instruction to inmates in the Native American Faith.

The contractor will supply all of their own religious garments and books. The contractor will control, supervise, and be responsible for all government materials and equipment and will ensure that such equipment and materials are used only for legitimate program purposes.
The contractor will provide 4 sessions per year. The sessions will either be on Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Pipe ceremony) or on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (sweat ceremony). The day and time of these services is subject to change with agreement of the religious services department and the contractor. A session will consist of 4 hours to include entry and exit.
The contractor will adhere to all regulations prescribed by FPC Duluth for the safety, custody, and conduct of inmates. All contract personnel providing services within the confines of the FPC shall have a complete investigation conducted in accordance with BOP Program Statement 3000.02, "Personnel Manual". Any contract personnel who enter the FPC on a regular basis shall be required to attend a four-hour institution orientation program prior to assuming his or her responsibilities under the contract. A "refresher" orientation must be completed annually. The CM (Contract Monitor) will be responsible for scheduling training for contract personnel.
The solicitation will be made available on or about August 20, 2010 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to insure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. All contractors doing business with the federal government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov.
The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is September 06, 2010; however, this is a projected estimate and quotes should refer to page 1 of the solicitation for the actual date quotations are due. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered.

Maybe the problem with challenging the official story is that the technology that was used was secretive and beyond what anyone could comprehend in 2001. Only now, nine years later are we wrapping our feeble minds around the possibilities?

Magic Rock and UFOs: The King
The Elvis connection is most interesting because he apparently had several documented sightings during his life, but it is difficult to determine what are the legitimate stories and which are just fables from his inner circle. Some of those who knew best aren't TOO old to have remained sharp enough to recall some of his thoughts on the topic. Right?
And today is the 33rd anniversary of the King's death.

Brazil ramps up on public UFO policy
Our good buddies over at The Object Report have this story running on their marquee. Under the new decree , Air Force, civilian and commercial pilots are to report any "sightings" to their Aerospace Defense Command which will then be made public. Brazil is a leader in so many different ways, and they have yet again set big wheels in motion. Of course now there won't be a UFO sighting in Brazil for the next 20 years, but that's just my prediction.

The Mountains of Titan
Freshly released article about scientists new theories that attempt to find an answer as to just how the mountains on Titan are formed. Rather than volcanic reactions like we have on earth, Titan is theorized to be squeezing them out "like raisins" due to cooling caused contractions, according to this article. Read more!

New Horizons half way to Pluto

Five Years and Counting DownFive years ago, the New Horizons spacecraft was in a thermal-vacuum chamber at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Maryland, being tested for our historic voyage to the planetary frontier. Today our intrepid probe is a billion kilometers past Saturn – and exactly five years away from closest Pluto approach on July 14, 2015.
Thanks to everyone for the hard work, dedication, persistence, and sheer pluck that got us funded, built, launched and halfway across the solar system. We aren't "turning final" on approach yet, but we can see that day coming in early 2015. Go New Horizons!
