Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, say what?

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov is a leader of a Buddhist chess playing region of Russia called Kalmykia.  In a TV interview, he claims he was taken up by aliens to see their ship.  The sample taking aliens then returned him to earth, and all he got was a lousy t-shirt.

Could this be contact?  He claims to have many witnesses, but is anyone biting?  Read more here.
