THE UFO LASTED 3 SECONDS. OR 30.

The Pentagon just released another batch of UFO records—and buried inside it is a useful reminder that disclosure doesn't necessarily make things clearer.

AARO's October 23 PURSUE Release 7 contains 28 documents spanning modern UAP investigations, FBI and Executive Office records, older Air Force material and previously unreleased BAASS/AAWSAP research.

But one case jumps out.

Federal agents reportedly observed a matte-black triangular object near a sensitive western U.S. location in 2026.

According to an AARO account, the object ascended for roughly 10 seconds, hovered for around 20 seconds, then departed in another 2–3 seconds.

Another government record—an FBI account apparently describing the same incident—has been interpreted as describing an encounter lasting only about three seconds.

Three seconds.

Or roughly thirty.

No instrumented speed measurement was obtained, and nothing in the released material establishes that the object represented extraterrestrial or exotic technology. The case remains unresolved.

That's more interesting than another headline screaming BLACK TRIANGLE UFO.

Because Release 7 isn't simply giving us UFO evidence.

It's giving us evidence about how UFO evidence is created.

The same release reaches backward into the machinery of government UFO research itself, including BAASS/AAWSAP contractor material produced years before many of these programs became widely known.

So the archive is beginning to expose two things simultaneously:

the anomalies—and the institutions that documented, interpreted and inherited them.

Seven PURSUE releases now contain hundreds of files. Each new tranche doesn't merely add sightings. It adds versions, interpretations, bureaucratic language and occasionally contradictions.

That's where FMPU should be looking.

Not:

“Did federal agents see an alien spacecraft?”

But:

How does an unexplained event become an official UFO story?

And what happens when the government's own records don't tell exactly the same story?

FMPU:

THE UFO LASTED 3 SECONDS. OR 30.

Disclosure just acquired a second problem: the archive itself.
