Jacques Vallee's top-ten list of pre-20th-century UAO

Jacques Vallee's top-ten list of pre-20th-century unexplained aerial objects as noted in an article earlier this month on MSNBC:

* July 7, 1015: Objects emerge from "mother stars" over Kyoto, Japan.
* Oct. 2, 1235: Stars are seen circling over Japan. Astrologers say "it is only the wind making the stars sway."
* June 3, 1277: Chinese poet Liu Ying immortalizes flying-saucer sighting in a poem titled "Event Seen at Dawn."
* Nov. 1, 1461: The legal adviser to Philip III, duke of Burgundy, describes a bright object that spirals upward, spins around, rolls over "like a loose watch" and disappears.
* 1513: Michelangelo observes a triangular light with three tails of different colors. He even paints a picture of it, but the painting has not survived.
* March 1638: Puritan settler James Everell and two companions report seeing a bright object appearing in the sky above Massachusetts' Muddy River ... and experiencing the "missing time" phenomenon.
* Sept. 14, 1641: An Armenian chronicler describes the appearance of a light that "revolved like a wheel" in the sky and moved away.
* Jan. 25, 1672: While serving as the director of the Paris Observatory, astronomer Giovanni Cassini spots an object he takes to be a moon of Venus. He announces the discovery after seeing the object again in 1686. But no such moon exists. (The hypothetical moon, which came to be known as Neith, was reported by other astronomers as well. Scientists have speculated that the object was actually an optical illusion or a nearby star.)
* Sept. 7, 1820: Astronomer Francois Arago, director of the Paris Observatory, catches a formation of unknown objects making turns with "military precision" during a lunar eclipse.
* June 18, 1845: Crewmates on the British brig Victoria report seeing "three luminous bodies" rise from the sea between Malta and Turkey.

Gemini transcripts are weird

Gemini came right before Apollo, it was our first big orbital training before we went to the moon. This video discusses the official NASA transcripts. The information can and has been explained away a number of different ways, but in any case you must admit, the first time going to space can produce so many mental effects, those astronauts were special in their day.

If you have never seen this picture before, it's because I got it from a semi-fair source. I have seen a LOT of Tuesday Weld photos online, but never this particular one.

Lotsa Paranews

A crazy binary star-system was disovered about 1700 light years away.  The system includes a couple of huge planets -- one is five times the size of Jupiter.  Sadly, we'll never get there.

A UFO heads toward the moon is this amazing clip...

Today someone posted a UFB - Unidentified Flying Butt...

Some great links are used to support the notion that our government is actually using ET phenomenon to scare the shit out of people.  The article states that "the 9/11 problem-reaction-solution playbook seems stale, as Al-Qaeda seems less scary by the day.  The matrix is now moving on to the next stage of fear campaigns with aliens, asteroids, more pandemics, and more manufactured economic catastrophes."

Magic Tribute: Zecharia Sitchin dead at 90

Zecharia Sitchin, a regular guest on the Coast to Coast AM radio show and prolific writer, has passed away at the age of 90.

From his Sitchin.com website:
We regret to inform you that Zecharia Sitchin passed away on the morning of October 9th. A small, private family funeral was held the next day.
The family asks that you respect its privacy during this difficult time and refrain from contacting family members directly. Instead, to offer tributes to Mr. Sitchin or to contact those handling his affairs, please email tributes@sitchin.com or send a letter to P.O. Box 577, New York, NY 10185. We appreciate the support that you have given over the years. Please continue to monitor this website for further updates.

His theories about Nibiru, the Sumerian texts and the Anunnaki have been widely heralded throughout his amazing research career.  Controversial to the tilt, this man was inspirational in so many ways, and he will be missed equally by his followers and his debunkers.

Sitchin --
On Nibiru -- 'Planet X' of our Solar System - the problem was the opposite one: Loss of internally generatedheat due to a dwindling atmosphere, brought about by natural causes and nuclear wars. Nibiru's scientists, I wrote, concluded that the only way to save life on their planet was to create a shield of gold particles in their upper atmosphere. It was in search of the needed gold that the "gods" of the ancient peoples had come to Earth. Basing my conclusions on Sumerian and other texts from the ancient Near East, I wrote that the Anunnaki began to arrive on Earth some 445,000 years ago, establishing settlements in the E.Din (later Mesopotamia) and mining gold in southeast Africa.

As I have written in subsequent books, "modern science is only catching up with ancient knowledge." The idea of 'geo-engineering' is borrowed from technologies of the Anunnaki.
Sitchen passed away weeks ago, but the information was withheld by his family.  George Noorey made the announcement at the top of tonight's C2C show.

He was up and around much of the early part of the year pitching his work There Were Giants Upon the Earth: Gods, Demigods, and Human Ancestry: The Evidence of Alien DNA (Earth Chronicles).  A petition was circulating to allow DNA testing on a goddess and a demigod, Nin.Puabi and Meskalamdug, which was under lock and key more than 80 years at the Natural History Museum in London.

Smoking Gun? Test results from Roswell debris

A 2004 New Mexico analysis by Chuck Wade has produced interesting results.  The information attempts to renew appeal of those turned off by the fact this case has been so wildly popularized for so many decades.  Jerry Pippin interviewed Wade to discuss the research HERE

Chuck Wade went to the Plains of St. Augustin searching for left-over pieces of the UFO Crash that happened there- Over the years he has collected pieces of debris that he considered  prospective pieces of a spaceship. Now years later he is able to report that all this work was worthwhile. The results are back and they are astounding. Chuck delivers the report at the 7th Annual Gallup UFO Film Festival held at the historic El Morro Theatre in downtown Gallup, New Mexico. CLICK HERE to see the details.

Introducing the Planetary Defenders!

NASA has stepped up the ante in defending earth against stray comets and assteroids by setting up a Planetary Defense mechanism.  Called Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS), it has some goals to its mission as stated below.  More can be found at the article linked @ the bottom....

The task force's five recommendations are:

  • Organize for Effective Action on Planetary Defense: NASA should establish an organizational element to focus on the issues, activities and budget necessary for effective planetary defense planning; to acquire the required capabilities, to include development of identification and mitigation processes and technologies; and to prepare for leadership of the U.S. and international responses to the impact hazard.
  • Acquire Essential Search, Track, and Warning Capabilities: NASA should significantly improve the nation's discovery and tracking capabilities for early detection of potential NEO impactors, and for tracking them with the precision required for high confidence in potential impact assessments.
  • Investigate the Nature of the Impact Threat: To guide development of effective impact mitigation techniques, NASA must acquire a better understanding of NEO characteristics by using existing and new science and exploration research capabilities, including ground-based observations, impact experiments, computer simulations, and in situ asteroid investigation.
  • Prepare to Respond to Impact Threats: To prepare an adequate response to the range of potential impact scenarios, NASA should conduct a focused range of activities, from in-space testing of innovative NEO deflection technologies to providing assistance to those agencies responsible for civil defense and disaster response measures.
  • Lead U.S. Planetary Defense Efforts in National and International Forums: NASA should provide leadership for the U.S. government to address planetary defense issues in interagency, public education, media, and international forums, including conduct of necessary impact research, informing the public of impact threats, working toward an internationally coordinated response, and understanding the societal effects of a potential NEO impact.

More UFOlloonology: Check Out UFO Disclosure Countdown Clock

This blogger dug deep to penetrate the muck and posts a detailed, insightful point of view that scours the net for details not found in the MSM.  There was a report of an interesting happening related to the radar.  No, nobody actually came forward about radar indications of the objects (ufolloons?), in fact quite the opposite is true.  But there was a story I'm presuming was leaked, about a radar control room being evacuated for some bogus reason.  I'm sure these radar reports were in heavy demand the evening of the sightings, you know?  So I'm not surprised because I can't afford to get frustrated over everything.  If there were sightings, all I know is I wish I was there you know?  Well, UDCC did give us here @ the Federation of Magic Pop and UFOs a nice shout out - very glad some of the others out there are keeping tabs (hey and thanks for sending a few readers this way) on this bizarro event.
"Here is a blog reporting the downplaying of the balloon theory as too many folks have said these objects were stationary [linked to FMPU] -- do note how some of the videos almost seem to be edited to show balloons. IMO."

The UDCC post is pretty detailed and has some good info about the videos that are available.  I just grabbed what I could find, but in retrospect, they do indeed look edited or fashioned in a silly way..

I think this story is still cooking.  And damn me good, Fulham is going to make a buck. Unfortunately I have 20 books sitting here waiting to be devoured so his will have to wait until I hear something more about doing otherwise.

Speaking of bizarro events, it's time for me to fly.   I forgot I have last week's The Event episode ready for viewing...

UFOlloon Story Not Going Away Yet

The Drudge Report has kept this story alive because there has yet to be a definitive explanation for the series of dots that spread across the Chelsea, NY sky on October 13.  The NY Daily News is still the only major news org in NY to give this story legs.  Speaking of, missing from this story is the presence of another local rag, The New York Times.  Seems they'd rather marquee a story about old people and Completely ignoring this story all-together.  They must have reporters on the beat, so why haven't any of the stories been allowed to run?  Could the editor in chief be suppressing this story for some reason?  During struggling days for newspapers, you'd think they'd even throw together an article that bashes all the fools on the street claiming that even UFOlloons don't hang in the air, stationary, for four hours.   Of course there is the woman who got some bling and a wedding ring.  She teaches a class and her kids say they let go of some UFOlloons.

So FMPU salutes the New York Daily News for their fearless coverage - hoax or otherwise - and letting their valued readers decide.  Good stuff indeed,  but there have been some changes to the story.  Of particular interest is that there are no known radar sightings by the FAA, yet, and they changed the picture of what seemed to be a closer view of the structure, in favor of the dots they are currently running.  Anyway, here are more choice comments that take on both sides and the absurd:

If we have learned ANYTHING from the "Balloon Boy" hoax, it's that civilians have the resources to put whatever they want into the sky. Maybe not legally, but they do it. These look like balloons to me. I never understand why people are so quick to believe that aliens would fly trillions of miles to our planet just to pop in for a few seconds, then leave.

An interesting question for the editors: I was on this story when it first broke and saw the initial photo you displayed of a semi-structured, vertically symmetric object or objects clustered within a circular perimeter. A small outlier could be seen directly to the objects lower left. So ... why was this initial picture pulled from your web site? The curious want to know ... jbb

My question is, why do we still think that alien vessels still look like blobs or flying saucers? This isn't the '40s, folks. Enough with the cheesy sci-fi. Lets have some imagination here. Why can't alien ships look cool and sleek? Why aren't we "seeing" real ships like the Millenium Falcon or some of those ships from Babylon 5 or even our own USS Enterprise (Constitution class, of course, still the coolest of them all.)

What difference does it make if it's captured on radar at this point? Don't we have radar defying technology ourselves? Can't they just say, hey, it wasn't a helicopter or plane so depending on it's mode of flight, speed and shape, it could anything. Nothing can be ruled out except for puff the magic dragon. [Nice call.  editor]

And, um, daisyomalley: Balloons can only float so high into the atmosphere and then they either stop rising or pop. And if the wind is still or blowing in a certain pattern, they won't move. THIS IS SIMPLE SCIENCE.

Conspiracy Clouds Over Los Angeles

Yeah, so I continued reading through the comments of the story @ New York Daily News.  It is such a shame that after such an eventful day in the UFO world, that L.A. is covered by a marine layer gone wild. In some parts of the city, the sky was nice most of the day, until early evening when clouds just blanketed the city.  Shame, I was ready to crack this Bohemian and have a skywatching night. Instead I came to the computer after sitting in traffic between clients working on this here headache.  It wasn't until I was walking my dog when I got the NYDN report via my phone.  I thought the story had died 10 hours prior but it was still being debated in the comment thread.  In my last post I added a few interesting ones, but decided to add a couple more selections from people who claim were there or otherwise have snarky remarks that make me chuckle.  Here ya are...

I was there and saw these UFOs along with hundreds of others. They were bigger and more impressive then they appear in video below and they hovered in place for 1-2 hours both in groups and later singly. NORAD came by after about an hour to investigate so I guess they were concerned. Our local police pct. (The 10th Pct.) had somehow not been notified till one uniformed cop who was by chance taking a walk on 8th Ave. called it in. I initially called it to his attention when I went over and asked him what he had heard as far as reports. He thought I was pulling his leg till I pointed to the sky. He was blown away. He began to make calls like crazy. This was absolutely NOT weather balloons! However that is what I expect to hear as the "official" explanation put about by tonight or tomorrow. No way. What is funny is how many people walked by who saw the crowds staring at the sky and pointing yet they didn't even bother to look up. They just walked on by. Typical blase New Yorkers.

BAALAT, you're nuts, these paragliders have been visible in the sky from Manhattan on many occasions, I first saw them about 6 years ago from Kips Bay and I've seen them a few times since. A NYPD cop was freaked out by them? Well he was obviously no more intelligent than the hundreds of other saps who stood transfixed by these paragliders. I really don't understand why all the fuss since they've been seen many times before, I remember standing in Kips Bay watching them with a guy who was walking his dog. It was pretty obvious what they were if you had good eyesight and weren't determined to think they were aliens.
[Paragliders seems to be the only argument aside from the balloons... editor]

They're balloons. Yellow party balloons. I think we've all learned a valuable lesson about gullibility and compulsive liars today!

NY UFOlloon Update

Strange how FMPU loves to be held accountable for the points of view we spew.  However, today it appears there could have been a mistake in writing off the UFO sighting in NY.  Apparently many people are serious in their view that these objects, written off in earlier reports as balloons, were UFOs.

This story has been just under the Drudge marquee with a link to the New York Daily News article since late this afternoon.  It appears that the initial balloon claims are getting dq'd because of the claims that these were stationary objects (not sure how many).  Now if you asked my sister you'd know that this "another one of those stupid fucking stories" that shouldn't be addressed.  UFOs scare the ladies, that's why UFO fans don't get laid enough, if at all.

So for now I'll stop right there, but the comments are pretty good so far. Here's some selected picks:

I was there and I did see something shining up in the sky, it hovered for a few minutes and then it slowly moved away. I couldn't defensively say what it was, it was too far for the naked eye to see. Someone was telling me that its been hovering for over 4 hours in the same spot. So who knows what it was, I still don't know.

I was there at about 2:30. When i was there, only 3 or 4 of the objects could be seen in the sky. They would mostly stay still, and maybe move VERY slowly. One was blinking, and then completely vanished. A couple of people said there were 20-30 of them up there a half hour earlier. When i first saw people looking up in the sky, i thought they were insane, but every single person that spotted the objects IN PERSON was bugged out by it. It was legitimately bizarre. There's a youtube vid of it too, showing a whole bunch of them

Oh for Christ's sake. It was a paraglider. I've seen them many times in the sky above New York and sometimes over to Jersey. There was another small dot below the bigger dot, this was the person dangling underneath. I saw it about 1pm when it was closer and you could clearly make out the curve of the sail. He was riding the thermals, they can do this all the way up to the clouds if conditions are right. I saw a bunch of morons in Chelsea standing watching this dot and talking about whether or not it was a UFO. I thought these people were dumb, now I go online and see that people have been calling the cops and it's in the freaking papers. Oh my God.

October 13 NY UFOlloon sighting

HuffPost and a Youtube claim to have today's UFO reports debunked, but the reports and photos are still coming in from NY about an alien balloon attack in progress.  It's dark and cloudy from marine layer here by my place so I can't see anything happening in the skies in Los Angeles.

The reports are coming in a frenzy thanks to Retired Air Force Officer Stanley A. Fulham, the man who released the third edition of his 352-page book, Challenges of Change, which suggests that on October 13, today, there will be "a massive UFO display over the world's principal cities."

Something tells me there will not be a 4th edition of his book.  This also has me banging my head against the wall because I don't even have a 1st edition of any sort of book in circulation.

Beware: This Story Was Made in China

Has a Chinese village disappeared?  Probably not, but there a couple sites picking up the twitter banter...

This is such a strange story that it only makes sense that it was made in China, with Chinese design.  Here's a a couple links- this second one is the one to go to though  -- it talks a bunch of mess of a village disappearing.  Here's an excerpt:

FMPU would like to thank visitors.  Of all my blogs, this is the one that gets the widest variety of hits from the widest variety of states here in the USA and countries around the world.  Greetings.

What's going on in Tuscan?

Either there has been a media blackout or I'm just not able to access anything more than small tidbits of information about the ufo triangles that were recently viewed by thousands in Tuscan, Arizona. If any readers find us and would like to help direct FMPU in the right direction, a link would be most appreciated!

In the meanwhile I would like to tell you a little bit about my day. I woke up to a pittering of sprinkle (that's what she said...) as I opened my eyes 1/3rd of way open. I reached as slowly as possible to my alarm clock radio, set on KFWB, our local news station, and made it just barely audible to not blow the rest of me off the balled up bed. I guess there's a (according to the overzealous anchor) MASSIVE Facebook announcement today at 10am.

I rolled over and prayed for a vision of DMT dancing elves and mutants showing me directions to a party.

More Chinese Airport Shutdown Due to UFO

Not sure if the video is working but there's been another, yes another, airport shut down in China. In China the UFOs are made with lead so be careful.

Due to technical difficulties, I had to remove accompanying ufo video. I replaced it with this smashing great song...
